Representative Cases:

Ms. Albury obtained the dismissal of an individual corporate executive based on the plaintiff’s failure to diligently serve the executive in a nursing home litigation case alleging wrongful death. Ms. Albury obtained summary judgment and an award of attorney’s fees for her client in a defamation case. The trial court’s decision was upheld on appeal.

Ms. Albury successfully persuaded the Court of Appeals of Georgia not to apply the “continuous employment rule” of workers’ compensation law to tort cases in a recent personal injury case. Ms. Albury’s brief and argument of the case resulted in rulings in favor of the client in both the trial court and the appellate court.

Ms. Albury was defense counsel in a Title II discrimination suit against a restaurant chain. Ms. Albury gave the opening statement in trial and examined several witnesses. This case resulted in a defense verdict for the client.
